I am finally getting around to posting the before pics of our house. We moved in the weekend before we had to be in Virginia for a family reunion. We had planned on moving after, so we could have paint and carpet done while we were gone, but it just didn't work out that way.
I would say the theme of the house was green. And old.
Paul and David ripping out the old bookshelves. They were dangerous, sharp and the cabinets on the bottom didn't even open because of the carpet.

The difference a little paint makes! The taupe on the right is what we painted the whole downstairs.
The bright white is after the painters rolled the ceiling. It really lightened up the whole area!
